For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to be a filmmaker. I have always had a passion for movies. When I was younger, I channeled the Jaws movie and using an underwater camera, I dappled with prop making and effects.
In early high school, I started making montages, commercials, a short documentary of my grandparents, and every now and then short films with my friends. I also began to study directors and their filmographies. My passion for film became even stronger.
On February 26th, 2021, the second semester of my senior year of high school, I started shooting my first feature film, Toilet Paper Soldiers with a group of friends. When all was said and done, I had written, edited, directed, and even acted in my first film. It was one of the toughest things I had ever done. It was also one of the most satisfying and rewarding things I had ever done. It showed me that making movies is really what I want to do with the rest of my life especially when I sat with friends and family to view my hour long movie at our local theatre. More ideas are always in my head, and I look forward to my next project.
